Sales and Marketing Director
Martha retired in 2013 from Rockingham County High School where she was the Media Coordinator for 26 years. Not quite ready to leave the work force permanently she began working part-time at Scales Street Music. Martha's music experiences began at a very early age. Her mother was an organist and pianist and taught piano lessons in their home and in Caswell County Schools. Consequently, Martha sang in the youth and adult choir at her church and took piano lessons from a private teacher for several years. When a band program was introduced in the schools she gave up piano and learned to play clarinet. Through out her adult life she continues to sing in church choirs and currently sings in the choir at Main Street United Methodist Church in Reidsville. She also started taking piano lessons again. Martha loves seeing former students and their children coming to Scales Street Music to make music a part of their life. She hopes when you think of music, instruments, sound and video equipment you will think of Scales Street Music first.
